Well, now that Dr. Brennan has given birth, I can tell you that Daisy has been kind of baby-crazy as of late. She won’t stop talking about them! She even wanted to be doula certified for Dr. Brennan! I told her we’d talk about it. Having kids is a lot of responsibility and I’m not sure we’re ready for that. But I certainly do want kids in the future. It’s always been my dream to be able to show a child the love my parents showed me when I was adopted.

Well, you’re not definitively sure that you are bisexual? If you’re so concerned about the responses you will get, I would make sure you’re sure of yourself before you say anything. Secondly, if you’re so worried that your family will hate you, you don’t have to tell them. I’m not saying that you should hide who you really are, because that’s what makes you you and people should be able to respect that. However, if you feel that this is something better left unsaid, at least for a while until you can process things a little better, then by all means, take your time. There is nothing wrong with having worries or doubts about this. There are many people who take news like this the wrong way and if I were in your position, I too would feel a bit cautious about it. I would tell you not to worry about it too much. There are some things in this world that we cannot control, and that’s life. Take some time to make sure you are sure of yourself before you say something that you feel you might regret. I’m always here if you need me.

If someone went through the trouble of making me a PowerPoint, I would watch it. Why? Did you do it?

I try to get on as often as I can. I haven’t had the chance to answer any questions in a while but I will get to them all when I have the time. 

It depends. Some days I get a lot of questions, some other days I don’t get any at all. Including yours, I still have about ten questions pending at the moment. Work has been keeping me extremely busy lately. But I will get to answering everyone soon, you have my word.

I’m really sorry for the long wait. I’ve been super busy at work lately and I haven’t had any chance to come online. I have many questions waiting to be answered and I promise I will get to them all as soon as I can! :)

I’m not sure how you’ve noticed this, but…

Having alternating periods of self esteem happens from time to time with everyone, not just me. That said, yes, you’re correct in your assumptions. Sometimes I get doubtful about myself but that’s mostly because of things that have happened in the past. If you’ve seen some other responses I’ve given to some previous questions, you might have noted that I had a difficult past. I had a very hard time trusting myself and accepting the things that happened. I try not to dwell but sometimes it’s difficult to forget things. Sometimes things come up and I focus on them, and that’s when I get my lows. Most of the time, though, I would say I have high self esteem. And if not high, then somewhere right in the center, “normal” amounts. It’s only occasionally when I allow myself to get low, and it usually doesn’t last long. I’ve learned to turn those feelings around and focus on the now. It’s something that I think helps a great deal.

I think it’s normal to be afraid of the dark. Even if you find yourself being a skeptic about those kinds of things, the dark is mysterious and the idea that something or someone could be lurking there without our knowledge is something that probably frightens everyone from time to time. No, it’s not weird. The dark is freaky. I’m not particularly frightened by it and I’m not a 100% believer in the supernatural but let me tell you, spend some time in the hallways in my apartment building when it’s dark and you will be getting the heebie jeebies.
